    I currently have 3 gits with that head design and they work fine.

    tuning is touchy due to the large post diameter, but otherwise I don't have a problem with them.

    Plus they are $10 for a pair!!!!!!305742399?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024

    Thanks for the comments Richard and Fugly.

    Set a fence on a drill press and keep making drill holes along the length and then clean up with jig saw and files.

     have done some like this ,, but never thought about to the side ,, always went down the middle...  that is super cool ,, makes a real clean,attention getting,,head stock
