On the right, the first I made, with a homemade aluminum bender, on the left, the second, made last month with a tin cap resonator. Both are 25,5 inches string lenght on open E. All I bought are strings and pegs (the jack too...) The pickup was given by a friend.

The idea is simple... You need an axel for rotating, a hole for the string. The tension keeps the string in tune, with the angle blocking the movement. and thats all
Do you have info on how you built the sting bender, I can't find much if any info anywhere on the web on how to make one. Going to start a lap steel on an old cutting board I picked up and would like to have a bender on it.

It took me some days to find out how to make it. I'll try to take some photos and drawings.
