  • The guitar in that video is my "prototype" guitar #1, I built it by request of Jeff, the shop owner who is playing it. He had requested no sound holes because he intends on using it in a studio and wants to reduce any possible feedback. As for that feedback, note that in the third segment he shows just how close he is to the Marshal amp he is using when he switches to overdrive. Do you have any idea how hard it is to get that close to an amp with a piezo transducer and not get feedback? The electronics are a rod piezo under the bridge saddle and Gitty's EQ-7545R equalizer preamp.

  • Wow does it ever sound good, both acoustic and electric. It sure surprised me. G S that is a really good build. Enjoyed them being played very much. There is no sound hole, correct?

  • Here is my past results with this building style....

I expect this one (LP Slimline #4) will sound as good or better than it's predecessors.

  • Don't care about that GS... It's beautiful!
    Cheers,
    Steve

Ps I bet it has a nice, mellow, woody tone as a CBG!
  • Please understand that this is a Cigar Box style guitar, with a through neck and a Les Paul shaped Bandsaw Box. It has more in common with instruments in this forum than in any of the Guitar forums. But appearances can be deceiving.

  • G.S. that's very high quality. Beautiful result. Bet it will be a mellow lady....
  • Wow, does the grain stand out. Would like to hear it play.

  • The bookmatched top is beautiful!

    Steve
