  • Hey Keith, thanks for your kind comments. The necks do have a V profile and fit nicely into the palm of the hand, although they also felt a little strange so I'm not sure I would do them that way again! Interesting to try though, and to be fair I didn't get to play them enough to make my mind up properly.
  • Very fine work! Is that a v profile neck? How does that feel in the hand?

  • Matching pair of ukuleles made as wedding presents for a couple of friends.  Both have scratch made mahogany bodies, bolt on maple necks with rosewood fingerboards, maple fretwire bridges and Grover machine heads. 
    #8 Tenor uke, 17" scale, standard tuning with high G.   
    #9 Contrauke, 23" scale, tuned GCEA one octave down from standard using classical guitar strings.
