This is a little tailpiece I fashioned. The neck runs through, but the fingerboard is basically fascia and is only on the outside. I kept it on the whole build, used the butt end to make the tailpiece. Eliminates the severe angle on the string which causes faster wear and breakage...this also keeps it from eatin in. Really the white oak is so hard they dont dig in at all anyhow. looks good, I'm happy with it.
