  • One more thing about the eye bolt. If you dip steel into gun blue acid, I am not sure what the name of the actual acid is called, it turns black. So I do this to the eye bolts, rinse them in water and wipe them off they look older and more fitting to the guitar. Thanks
  • Hey brother, watch how you use the word genius! I have a small bench drill press that I drill a little hole there. hen I take a counter sink bit (cone shape) and ease the edges around the hole. Works great. One warning. when you drill the hole in the neck of the guitar, depending on the type of wood make sure that you use the right diameter drill bit. Harder woods like oak and walnut need to be drilled with a fraction larger hole or when you are screwing the eyebolt into it it coeld be too tight and snap. This is why we are here to learn from each others mistakes. By the way. How do other people use a eye bolt if you dont put hole into it?
  • That is genius, so simple!!!!!. Is there a little hole at base of circle?
You should share this with eye bolt discussion group.
I am going to try that next. thanks for the inspiration.
