Fret Bevel File

I had an unproductive weekend. Today I wanted a one day CBG related project to feel like I accomplished something. I found an 18 inch piece of oak railing left from a home repair and thought... cut off 6 inches and make a fret bevel file! Everything else was also just lying around my shop, even the hex-head set screws... File angle is close enough to 35 degrees and wood has just a bit of sanding with a coat of poly. Nothing fancy, just works. Also, I misjudged my hand drilling on one set screw hole. I inadvertently added a custom exhaust vent to port off excess heat from the friction of filing. As you can see from the picture, on a trial run this baby heats up fast and stays hot quite a long time... Learning from my mistake, if you make one of these, maybe add a "spare" hole for an heat vent!
