  • Thanks Dan. I have been trying out a lot,of,things on these builds. I have managed to get a pretty high bridge, about 3/4", while keeping a decent action. I got this by putting in a 1/2" per 10" drop on the neck. For the six string I doubled up the neck inside the box to accommodate the pickups which are pretty thick. I got a jig set up to radius fret boards. The six string neck was too wide to sand by hand. I also tried a tapered neck with the six string while having a 1/8" x 1/2" steel flat bar mounted in the neck for reinforcement. I am going to have to go to 1/8" x 3/8" carbon fibre. I cannot get steel that size and the 1/2" steel pulled out at the back. So lots of things tried out. More of them worked than I had a right to expect.
