This is the legendary Pinetop Perkins. Best old school blues piano player left alive today. Very nice man who loves his women and can play 6 hour improv sets with no break. He is mid 90s now and has a form of dimentia...but put him behind a piano and he is right at home as if he were 20 agian. He always wears piano key socks and carries a cane with piano keys carved into it. Pinetop grew up at the Hopson Plantation where his parents were cotton pickers and slaves. You can visit that same plantation and stay in his shack which contains the original upright piano he learned on. Going down to the delta is a mind blowing experience...everyone should visit just to put things into perspective.
