  • Well the way I have been doing it. I cut and glue the pieces for the neck. Then cut the neck and head tampers roughly with my band saw. Shape the neck with sand paper and files. Cut and fret the fret board if I'm putting one on. Line the fret board up with the neck and glue. Then I use a table top sander to get a clean finish where the fret board and neck meet, also it smooths out any over hanging fret wire. I attach my necks with three wood screws. I usually use a floating bridge I've been told this can help adjust the sound when tuning your ukulele. I might look into a photo step by step for my next one our even a video. I am by no means an expert but getting better each one I build.
  • Nice Cigar Box Ukulele Brian, got any info on how you made it? materials etc techniques. I'm keen to make another and I'm just a beginner, and I'd sure appreciate a few comments. cheers Sammy
