I tried an exacto saw, but at .015 it was way too narrow for the .023 fret wire tang. Tried a hacksaw blade, but it was .025 and a bit too loose. Tried the coping saw and got .023 exactly. I did have to wide the slot in the miter a little. The little wedge I just sanded randomly so I can slip it in various ways and always fine a useful wedge. I used a spare blade to check the position since it was easier to work with than the full saw. Once things were wedged in I switched to the real saw. Would still prefer a more substantial blade of the proper width but haven't found one locally yet.

I actually lived across the street from Stewmac for a year when I was in college. Didn't even know what they did for the first 6 months I lived there. Then suddenly it made sense why every Friday after work there was a jam session on their loading dock :D
Don't think my skills are deserving of any of their tools yet though. Maybe someday, but for now I hope this little coping saw will work well enough!
