Hi Steve-I did try 4 strings but I didnt really get on with it, so yes, I'm a 3 string cbger for sure.I have various shop bought regular 6 stringers from my past-a reso,a tele (copy not a fender) and the ubiquitous cheap acoustic familiar to every household.They sit in corners gathering dust, quite literally.I dont play them at all anymore, and actually none of them are in standard tuning either.So you see, your turning your back on 6 stringers isn't unusual! :)
Hello there! I was looking at your pics thinking all the guitars you have shown are 3 stringers,do you play the 4 string CBGs at all?
I myself have always played 6 string storebought guitars,but after making two 3 strings and one 4 string CBG I feel I am not as interested in the six strings . In fact I have thought of getting rid of my fender strat! And I much prefer playing the 3 string CBGs and almost wish I never built the 4 string.
Do you still play 4 string or regular 6 string guitars ?
