  • Yeah I have the scale length set and the neck is already a set length.. so that's about where the bridge has to fall.. it's still not attached yet... this particular box is just super long too.. it's actually about where it would be on a average size cigar box... I really want it to be considered mostly electric anyway.. so I'm figuring the piezo will amp it enough when plugged in... I have considered a real pickup as well...

  • Nice work Brian. You may want to experiment a bit with a floating bridge and move it on the box until you get the optimum sound. Keep this spot in mind for future builds. Most CBG bridges will tend to be fairly close to the butt end of the box. I know you are fretting this one so you need to have a fixed point to establish your scale length from nut to saddle - and to make the frets accurate, so for this build you may be stuck with this midpoint location. Hope this is helpful.
