Here's the back of my first six-string guitar. I was inspired by instruments like the Yamaha Silent Guitar to create a more ergonomic frame around the cigar box. I'd initially thought about a bent wood frame but I didn't have the wood or a steam box to bend it. I *did* have aluminum flat stock and a vise, though. I think it worked out nicely.
