That's really nice! May I suggest, since by making the fake surface you have shown yourself to be as shallow as I am, that you make a cover for the pup so it doesn't have that mismatched 6 poles for 3 strings look.You could do it with the same print as your top. THAT would look uber-cool!
The sunburst is just a sample photo of wood, bookmached in photoshop and a strong darkening of the edges. It was printed on glossy paper then glued to the top of the Hoyo cigar box. took about 20 minutes total. Thanks!
