I've always fancied doing radiator keys for control knobs but I've always feared they would be too flimsy and rip the pots out if caught on say, a hand or a gig bag.i got round it by mounting a control plate around 3/4" underneath the lid, and secured it there. the 'trunk' of the key fills the whole space, lowering the height above the lid, whilst making it so much more secure. It was tested by picking up the CBG by the keys and waving it around a bit.
