I did this build as a giveaway for a local festival. Neck is solid walnut, started out at about 1" before I shaped it. Used a little bit of stuff laying around and a few purchased parts. Burned in the fretmarkers. It is electric with no volume control. Sounds amazing!

Thanks for the kind word Nathan!! I have a fair amount of it and best thing is that it is almost a full inch thick so I can get away with just using it and not having to laminate a fingerboard...at least for a 3-stringer. This stuff cost me $5.00 per board at a local woodcraft shop. Each board was 6" wide and 31" long. I'll trade you some of my walnut for some maple!!!
