  • Turns out that little plastic piece worked out great for a bridge/saddle.  I did have to file off the backside to create a break angle and then of course file the groove notches to hold the strings in place... but it worked out great !!!

  • I've built a few with disc piezos and used a bunch of hot glue. I've seen videos of one's with the rod type so I asked them the same thing and they didn't do anything special but didn't have the same problem. Who knows....lol
  • Hey Bob, This particular Build has a disc piezo mounted on the bass side of the strings.  this bridge piece that you see is used when using a rod style piezo... i was going to just use the plastic piece here as a bridge piece...but without the rod element.  we'll see how that works out??  I have had luck "dampening" the piezo elements with an over abundance of "hotglue".  Have you tried that?

  • I notice you're using the same rod piezo pickup as I've used on my last 6 guitars. I noticed mine seem to pick up the sound of your fingers releasing or sliding on the strings a lot louder than I expected. Do you have that problem or am I doing something wrong?
