When I first built this the neck was straight through and attached tight to the lid. Of course that kept the lid from vibrating properly. I've made a change and attached it to the bottom of the box. Also I stained the neck and tail, applied a piezo disc pickup from C. B. Gitty and restrung with strings 3 4 5 so I can more easily tune to G D G which seems to be the dominant tuning used. I had been using 1 2 3 and tuned to G B D but wasn't able to get the right sound out of it. If it feels too sloppy I'll tune it to A E A with the same strings.
