I finally got it tuned up and after a little bit of struggling with the intonation,(something I knew very little about before yesterday) to my amazement I got it to stay in tune and intonated.

Thanks uncle john for the info on neck distance, this is the updated version with the 12th fret half way between the nut and saddle.
