I built this acoustic cbg using poplar for the neck, and red oak for the fret board on this little gitty. At first I had drawn fret markers onto the neck with a sharpie, but I really wasn't happy with the look of it so I took a round needle file and filled grooves for the toothpick frets that I installed instead. the box is braced all the way around using poplar 1x2's, and is tuned to Open G.

Thanks Korrigan. It was an interesting build. I think it turned out better than intended. Originally it was going to be fretless, but I didn't like the fret markers the way I did them, so I did a plan B... :-)
