  • They have everything. I picked up rough lumber and also planed and sanded 1 by 6....
  • Do they carry smaller sizes there or do you usually have to buy the 4X4?
  • They should give you a discount on your next purchase. They've got a new customer!
  • Its over by the airport..
  • I didn't know such a place exists! I'm basically on the Gaithersburg/Rockville line. I'll have to check it out!
  • You would really like the tiger maple board I picked up last week...along with the walnut...We got it at exotic hardwoods in Gaithersburg...
  • I haven't been able to find a regular supply of nice maple (I shop Home Depot/Lowes). I've been using a combination of Red Oak and Poplar. The Maple is just so much nicer than the Poplar.
  • Just a spray can, I was too lazy to set up the airbrush...

I do use and almost went with Tung oil..I just wanted the gloss to pop..
  • Good to know. I've only put a finish on one of my guitars (I know...horrible) and it was tung oil. I like your spray though. It looks very professional.
  • Thanks! This is so simple...sand, sand, sand and then sand some more....we went down to 320 grit on hard maple, then used 0000 steel wool. The finish is spray lacquer. Just as is from a can. Multiple coats, rubbed down with the 0000 steel wool between coats...that's it. done between late yesterday evening and lunchtime today...
