My solution to the question of "What do you get an Irishman for his birthday?".I call it a Chromatically Fretted Dulci'lin, I basically made a simplified Mandolin-type body and strung it up with dulcimer strings, it has a wonderfully low and easily playable action, and a crisp load tenor voice.
