My first attempt at home made instruments. A Napolina tomato can and some wood from the back of the shed. I took this one to New Orleans last year and did some busking. Also won £100 in a recycling competition. How much fun is that?

I have a contact mic stuck on the back of the can. It picks up some feedback and any bangs and bumps that come along but it kind of adds to the charm. I admit this one is a bit rough but was great to make and play. I am now in the process of making biscuit tin guitars with single wound pick ups. They sound really cool. Check out and like my facebook page I will be updating it on a regular basis and when the things are ready I will be posting vids and pics. Gordon.
Where do you have the jack and pick up? Or is it a temp one hanging down there?? Cool! I love making and playing them, but have not used a regular can for an electric, usually some sort of tin makes it easier for placement of things.
