Yeah the Partagus boxes always sound good, and the larger the better for guitar. if the one you are referring to has three sound holes on both sides it sounds great even with a wooden bridge. Funnily enough tho the more sound holes the better the sound/ volume.
Yup I made a wooden template of a f hole from a violin (as the proportions seemed the rightest). I use a hobby knife to trace the outline onto the box . If the box is paper covered I continue with the hobby knife until I cut through the box lid. I have used drills and then used files and finally sandpaper, but the dremel tool is possibly the neatest job. A good idea is to do a f hole like on a dobro with holes and simple shapes first to get used to it or try it on scrap first (I have wrecked more than one box doing my f holes.)
