I wired a single coil pick up, which was working when installed in a store bought guitar straight to the input jack of a cigarbox build. No sound. Looks to be good connections and all but I have never done this straight connection like this.
Not sure if this is the right forum but I bet some folks can help:
I have been doing well selling my cigar boxes, mostly at craft fairs where people hear me play, a few from the local music store and one every now and then from the local museum gift
So thanks to the knowledge shared by the CBG community I am always trying new things in my builds. This week I jumped the input jack of a piezo pickup guitar with a .01 capacitor to get a darker sound and it worked well.
Thanks to Ben for featuring my grand daughter Coraline as the Gitty fan of the week in this week's newsletter. Cigar box people are the best kind of people.
Thanks to advice and discussion received here I have been selling a few guitars. The local news did this little story on me. That's my daughter playing the bed pan/suitcase drum kit.
Just built a box amp with the CB Gitty amp kit and am very well satisfied. I found a nice big box that would easily accommodate two speakers. My question is will the 2.5 watt circuit board push two speakers?
Summer is blistering on here in East Texas. I am dripping sweating to much on my projects and on top of that I am still limping around after being stung on the foot by a sting ray while surf fishing 14 days ago.
I'm new here. On my third build. It's a One gallon can. Turned out ok but the rod piezo, a pre wire from CB Gitty does not work. My question is does the metal top transfer sound the same as cardboard or wood?
