  • Thanks for the friend request! I started by checking on eBay. CBGs similar to mine we're selling for between $50-80. I started charging $55-60 for my guitars. Everyone bought the $60 ones. For only five dollars more, people wanted a "premium" guitar. Now I charge between $55-75 for a guitar. A box with a stick and hardware is 55. A guitar with box corners and at least three sound hole, with covers is 75. Others fall in between. Other factors include how much the box cost or how rare a box is or how difficult a box is to work with. This gives a range of guitars and prices for people t choose from. I also have three sting canjos for $40 and small one string kid canjos for $15 and tin can microphones for $10. I also build amps from cigar boxes with the parts kit from C. B. Gitty.
What I think helps my sales ( usually 3 to 5 guitars a day) is that CBGs are virtually unknown where I live (west-central Illinois). Many people think that I invented CBGs! I give them a quIck history and I need to explain that traditionally these had 1, 2, or 3 strings.
I also demo on my guitars constantly through an amp. This attracts people to my booth. Everyone loves them, and a few buy them. I never try to make a sale. I just invite them to try one out (most say no), and I offer to answer any questions.

I have LOTS of business cards on hand so people can take them and share them.

I hope this helps. I don't claim to everything. Asks me anything anytime. There's also a group called "Sell Those Puppies" dedicated to selling builds.
