Got a license plate I really, really don't want to mess with. Not a huge fan of piezos these days - unless maybe if they're set in the bridge. I've read where some folks have actually mounted a magnetic pup underneath the plate itself. Anyone had
Building a 6-string slider and I'm getting a really bad buzz. Checked and double-checked my connections from pickup to output jack and they're fine. When I touch the bridge or strings I get even more hum. No volume or tone pot - just straight wire
Hi folks, a while back I built a fun little 3-string slider using a broomstick handle. In retrospect, I'm beginning to think that it needed to be just a tad heavier to handle the tension of 3-strings. Anybody got experience using broomsticks for ne
Strangely enough, I have two cbg's, both 3-stringers, whose middle string makes an almost sitar-like ring/sound that the other two strings don't. Anybody know why that might be? Bridge? Nut? Both gits use one of those padauk bridges from CB Gitty.
Found a nice box, then purchased a cone and cover from Republic. Hoping to build this over the holidays when work isn't such a grind. Now all I need's a ring for the cone - how do I construct that?

Doing some early design work for my license plate CBG and I was wondering about pup placement. It's going to be an electric with a single coil pup. Just wondering about where I'm going to cut in my license to drop it in. I have some artistic consid
Hey folks, new to the whole CBG thing but I just recently built a couple. One is tuned to Low Open G (GDG) and I thought I'd tune the second to something different just to mix it up. Any suggestions that will offer me the greatest flexibility?
New to the site, just got bit by the CBG bug and was checking out boxes at my friend's tobacconist's shop. Thought I might use an old license plate I found at my wife's parent's packhouse to build a CBG around. Since the normal plate is 6" x 12" I
