Trevor, Thanks this is a walnut fret board with about 5 coats of wipe on poly by minwax Takes a while but I usually do the neck first and finish it with this while doing the body. get some real fine paper and sand lightly between coats just to take off any tiny bumps. make sure it is fully dry 24 hr before sanding I have the patience of a 2 year old and really trashed some neck in my day so take you time and you will be very happy with the finish
