I am tinkering with the idea of using a truss rod in the future but am not sure of the indications when to use one. Based on the research I have done, it looks to be when using 4-6+ strings and no thru n thru neck.

This was at my wife's request as a wall decoration. Walnut nut and bridge. Walnut stained poplar. Oak fretboard. Sounds good too.
The uke I am making for my wife. neck is walnut stained poplar. bridge and nut is walnut, fretboard and heel is red oak, aluminum tailpeice. Have lots to do yet. few more weeks to go. scale is 19"
