Good job for a first build. Pine has a great tone. I now make it a habit to put trussrods in all the necks I build so I don't have to go back and fix it later. Not all Pine wood is the same and maybe yours will stay straight. Hope it stays that way. Keep on keeping on.
My first CBG build(4 string) has a Southern Pine neck(25" scale) with a Red Oak fretboard. I had problems with the neck bowing/ramping and had to put a non-adjustable trussrod in it to keep it straight. It still bows some at the headstock.
Are you having the same problem? Might not have that problem with a shorter neck/scale, your neck looks shorter than mine. My neck is 22 & 1/2" long from tip of headstock to end of the neck.
