building first been woodworking for years know nothing about guitars. gift for daughter. have been reading some thinking about building a four string have some parts cut out construction includes walnut sides on body , oak front and back, walnut neck and oak head.was unsure about 1) gluing front to neck 2) is it necessary to install a fret board on neck and i3) can get enough sound without amp hook-up. would be played mostly around house or where she is doing therapy with residents. yall have any suggestions? thanks
