Does any one out there have a simple downloadable fret template which can be simply printed out, taped together and placed over the neck to mark out the fret locations? I now there are alot....and I do mean ALOT of fret calculators and such but I'm looking for something real basic to use in a classroom type setting. I've traced over a dulcimer neck and marked out the frets but the results weren't quite satisfying. Thanks

I draw mine out on a drafting programme and print them off for my classroom builds, cut them into strips and glue them onto the neck. You only need a very basic drawing programme for it, and I just put on as many frets as will fit on the paper - I use A3 size paper, as I've got an A3 printer and photocopier, and I get plenty of frets on there for my short scale (22 1/2") classroom project guitars.
