This group is for anyone who loves, has lived in, or is living in Mississippi. The state's nickname, "The Birthplace of American Music" was given to it for a reason. Mississippi is known for its invention of many primitive istruments including the diddley bow some forms of the cigar box guitar.

As a passionate cb player living in Oxford Mississippi.....I was excited to see the formation of this group!!!! I am of the opinion that there is a healthy number of us guys and gals around these parts!!!!!! Shane Speal, Cedric Burnside and Justin Johnson among others will be playing at the Clarksdale,MS Blues festival October 14th through the 16th.

Glad to see that there is a cbg group for Mississipians (even us transplants). I live in Starkville and have been building cbgs for a couple of years. Would really like to get together with other builders in the state. I don't play worth a crap, but I really enjoy building them.
