I haven't tried it yet, but I think you would just tune it to a minor triad. Tune string 1 to the root, string 2 to the third half step above the root higher and string 3 to the fifth. For example: A minor - A C E D minor - D F A
F minor - F A(flat) C
G minor - G B(flat) D
For a four string, I'd try going back to the root on string 4.
I have no idea how this would impact playing anything else, but you would be able to walk a minor cord up and down the neck.
