CBG concert/gathering ideas
just found out that the the JJ ferrara center(philhrmonic center) in Hazleton is available fairly cheap (around $200 for the whole day) its a good size venue and Hazleton is an easy to find location being right off of both I 80 and I 81 and not far from I 476 I'm sure with all are resources here we can pull something together ( peroformings ;advertising;promotion ect...) I am counting on all u guys (and girls) to help me out with this and we can start planning a date and get the ball rolling so…

Just joined. Michael Hagen from Olney (North Philadelphia). Built 2 kit CBGs and a CB Gitty 9 volt amp, now looking to copy some designs I like from the David Sutton books.
Highly touting the Phila Woodworks hardwood lumber yard up in Manayunk. Good, modestly priced wood. Their custom cutting is excellent but has a high minimum. (If you're in the market for necks and fretboards, let's team up!) www.philadelphiawoodworks.com/lumber_yard_photos/
Also loving the nearby Smoke shop on Main Street in Manayunk for their $1, $2 and $5 cigar boxes. More than 200 on display. http://smokemanayunk.com/
Another great Philly stop: Habitat for Humanity's ReStore thrift shop. Lots of wood, tools, decorative geegaws. http://www.habitatphiladelphia.org/shop-restore
Do Philly members ever do meetups?

Hello all, from western Pa in Mercer County. Can't wait to build a few, but in the meantime, looking for and collecting items to use. Also looking and reading about others builds to get ideas from. I read all the posts here and see one or two people that live near by. Use to play right handed, but will nave to learn to do it left handed.
hey I am in Bradford, pa. Looking to learn to play this thing.
Anybody here north of State College? I am looking for someone to jam with as I try to get started playing again.
How many PA members are going to be heading to York in August for the Festival? My son, father in law, brother in law and I will be there! It's going to be a great time!
Greetings from Milton, PA!! My son and I started building cbg's about a year ago when he either needed to build a guitar or write a song for his guitar class in school. Sure am glad he decided to build instead of write! We have made several guitars for family members who play and for ourselves. Sure is a nice diversion from everyday life to get in our humble little shop and create together!
I'm just getting back into playing after never really getting started and I would like to sit down with another player or two just to get ideas. Is there anyone in the North Central Pa area that would be willing to meet for a jam? I live in Sinnamahoning Pa and would be willing to travel a few hours.
I grew up in Bethlehem. I've become obsessed with building these things. So far, I've made about a half dozen CBGs and one uke.
