Just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself! My names Dano Collins. I've been a professional tattooer for 39 years now. I own Bluz Tattooz (yes, pronounced blues) just outside of Detroit, as well as the Motor City Tattoo Museum. I also own "Old School Irons", making handmade custom tattoo machines for prominent tattoo artists around the world. I've been playing guitar for many moons (and I still suck), but my band "The Blues Conspiracy Rockin' Blues Review" gigs locally all the time. I'm very new to the cigar box world though, and just recently got my first 3 string from Shane Speal. OMG is this thing fun!!!!!!! The first tune I learned was Blind Willie Johnson's "Nobody's Fault But Mine" via Keni Lee's dvd. Damn, did Zeppelin screw that one up, or what?? LOL!!! I've ordered everything to make a 4 string, just waiting on parts to arrive. Should be fun!! Anyway, just wanted to say hey!!! Thanks for accepting me into the group! I'm looking forward to absorbing some of the great info in here, and hopefully will be able to give back one day.

    Hi Dano, Welcome aboard, I am an artist as well out in Eugene Orygun been at it almost 20 years now, only been buildin about 6-7 months now and its a frickin addiction I find myself EVERYWHERE I go looking at random crap looking for parts,but the wife enjoys that I go into the pots and pans section with her until I start tapping on things for tone, ain't felt like this for a long time actually since early in tattooing so glad to have a fellow artist aboard,Anyways I saw you were thinking about a four string reso I tried one for my sixth build and found these videos pretty helpful  if they aint already on this site     https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEBa_fsLsVI

    Welcome aboard dano, hope your stay is long and a happy one, this sites the best ive been on for all things cbg realted, their a good bunch of guys and gals always willing to help, i play a 3 string solid bodied fretless at the moment, love it,built by Rooster man, But i am waiting on a build from chickenbone john, a steel 3 string resonator which i cant wait for, i think this guys guitars are awsome, he teaches as well, anyway good luck dude.

      Thanks Mark! I'd love a fretted 4 string resonator cbg, and that's something I wouldn't to to try to tackle this early in building. Any links or anything you can share to somebody making them??? Thanks again.
