Hello from Scotland

Just to introduce myself ...

 

I discovered this place a few days ago when looking for (cheap) parts online to electrify my (cheap) uke. I am no musician, never got to grips with the guitar but making some headway with the uke, so I figure if 4 strings is easier than 6, then 3 or less must be better still, right?

 

... and the 5-string banjo my family gave me for xmas is suggesting that theory may hold water :(

 

My first 2 cigar boxes arrived today, I've got some threaded bar in the shed that will make nuts n bridges, off now to source some other hardware and will look for a bit of hardwood tomorrow.

 

Wish me luck - depending on progress/success will either post pics and ask questions, or disappear quietly never to be heard of again ...

    Hi im Andy from Inverness,ive just joined the gang here,made my first but nasty looking cigarbox guitar on thursday this week,noticed your looking for hardwood, hard to find up here,but if you source hard wood let me know where,,if thats ok.
