Hi! My name is Shawn.
I am from St. Louis, MO and happened upon this site after looking up plans for cigar box guitars.
I didn't even realy know what they were until last night. I was on a local forum, and saw someone post about them. I looked them up and instantly was intrigued.
Next month (July 2013) I plan on starting my very first CBG. I will probably need to lean heavily on you all as I go along...:-)
Thanks, and Go Cardinals!

Welcome to the Club Shawn. There are many experienced builders and players here willing to help if you have any problems. I knew very little about CBG'S before I found this site and now I have learned so much from the great friends I have found here.
While I have your ear, any good spots locally for boxes?
;-)
On the loop there are several cigar shops. Some charge ridiculous prices, just move on and check the next shop.
A box should cost between $1.-$5 max. Grab a few if the price is right in case you make any errors your first build.![306066327?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024](https://storage.ning.com/topology/rest/1.0/file/get/306066327?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024)
Sorry you missed coming to the 1st annual St. Louis cigar box festival in Webster Groves June 8, last Saturday. However, there are a lot of us here on the nation that can hook you up with great tutorials. Link to Builders video You Tube 1 0f 4
Big daddy Mojo was their at the fest under a different name. I recommend his videos and their are others out there too.
C. B. Gitty has great kits and parts for sale or scrounge up your own. Have fun and good luck!
