Greetings From Texas

Hey what's up group.  Been a member for a week or so now, and this site is an invaluable tool for crafting, playing, etc. I've used it constantly so far and intend to do so in the future.  Not only that, but I love the communion of people sharing this interest of mine.  I have a 3 stringer made out of a Chateau Real box with a red oak neck and simple piezo.  I have a ton of parts coming my way, including a rare mahogany box from the 1930's I'm going to turn into a sweet piece. I'll definitely leave updates in the future.  Listening to Son House and Blind Willie Johnson a lot lately, also Jimmie Rodgers and Lightnin' Hopkins.  Grew up not far away from Gatemouth Brown, too.  Military veteran, EMT, propane technician, and car salesman are my trades, Blues and guitars are my life.  Also, I have a gorgeous wife who puts up with all of it.  I've always been thinking about completely rewiring my thinking when I pick up my guitar and have been in desperate need of something to restir my passion for it. It's easy to get lost in silly jazz and mid-east scales and now I'm ready to stop overthinking it and bang my CBG til I put it to sleep.  I have a strong  blues and "punk" background, but produced a lot of black metal tracks in goofy diminished chords which sound good but I'm reverting--NO--evolving back to the simplicity of music.  I intend to contribute as much as I can to this nearly lost art form that is CBG.
