Baritone Ukulele

Hello,   I have most of the specs I need for a baritone CB ukulele, but the box size is my dilemma.  Since baritone ukes are large instruments, I would think  a larger cigar box would be required.  If you have built one, what size box would you recommend.  I'd like to see some pics as well.  Thanks, jh

    I just finished a uke last week. Pretty happy with sound on it. It's not a baritone, but close, 18" scale length, so a bit longer than a tenor. Box is medium size, will measure and get some pics in a day or so. I would like to keep in touch with your progress cuz I want to build a 4 string guitar or baratone uke next.

    Hey John,

     

    While a larger box might be desireable for acoustic reasons, I wouldnt put too much weight on that issue alone.

     

    You mentioned elsewhere that you were considering a resonator cone?

    I think what I'd do is kinda guesstimate the inside volume (cubic inches, cc's whatever) of a bari and build a box from there, same sound hole size and all. Like to know how this turns out.
