Im new and was wondering if its better to have frets or no frets for a slide guitar . I want to have three strings if that matters. thanks for any help ,

I will post pics, but one of the greatest ideas that I've seen for this situation is to put fret markers on the side of the neck. That way you'll know where you are [at least]. I've seen others burn frets in. I've seen just dots. I've seen nothing at all.
One thing I'm doing for my mom is to build a fretless and if she wants frets, I can add them in later.
Yep, as Sam says. You can mark the neck where frets would normally go so you can know where the notes are. Either on the side or top, just mark them, no need for frets, so don't "fret" over it.
I'd go with no frets... but that's personal preference... If you think you might do any finger picking/chording at all, then fret it and have the strings medium height....
