CBGitty Amp kit

I hope I am not duplicating another post but here goes. Just got my CB GITTY amp kit (YEEHAW!) and am wondering if any of you that have built one have any tips, tricks or suggestions on the build? I am installing the optional pot. Thanks in advance for any help, Art

  • anyone here put a pre amp, along with a regular amp kit together in one unit? would like to do that myself, would appreciate any advice. thanx

    • The preamp has a place to plug in a pickup, use that plug in for your guitar input and then the output to jack for the amp input.

That should work as a EQ with a bit of Boost. Add a Psycho Knob in there for distortion.

  • Btw if you want a headphone jack, the Gitty site has the diagrams below, but don’t include the headphone option.   If soldering is new to you, dont read any further.  But if you have that skill a headphone jack will deliver a great sound and you can play it as load as you want, while preserving silence for other.

to do this get the headphone jack, solder the pos headphone wire to the pos speaker on the board.  The neg headphone wire to the “HP-“, mount and done.  CB Gitty diagrams below

  • Pretty straight forward.   I like to accessorize my amps to creat a bit of a visual experience or to set a period (example below). If I was doing it again I would upgrade the speaker.  I would have put in a nice 4”, that said, many may find the kit speaker sufficient.  GB Gitty would have to double their price to do what I am suggesting.  You’ve got this.  Have fun
