The whole point of CBG's, no 2 are the same.

I'm with you, my 1st CBG was piezo & didn't care for it. You could add an equalizer to axe or as a pedal that will help.

I would use the 3 pole pup, should be easy to adapt, have fun!

Nice. If you have an ohm meter test the pups and use the highest output pup if you want more of an overdrive tone.

the flush mount mag pups are nice and easy.  Otherwise you will need to cut into the neck for the drop in pup distance.  This usually requires beefing up the neck from the sides or under the neck, as the neck cutoff for the pup clearance weakens the structural integrity of the neck.   There are tutorials on this site for all I have shared

Yeah, i've seen some of those. Putting a  bottom plate under the neck is easy peasy for me, I screw and glue the hell out of things...
