Bass pickups

I was sitting in my lab looking at my old Squier p bass( that I hardly play at all) and thought could the pickups be used for a 4 string CBG ? Anyone tried this yet and if so what did it sound like?

    I use 1/2 of a P-bass set on many of my CBGs. They work and sound great.

    sounds great.... check out Photobucket

    that's a pbass pup (disguised with a folk art paint job) on a 4 string slide (fretless CBG) works great with a low growl which I really like...
