Uke Newbie Questions

What is the best size for a uke neck?  1x2 or 1x3?  I was thinking of building a concert size, but I've read that tenor is the most common size.  True?  Any other tips?

    Yes, the soprano is probably the most common ukulele. These are the ones that most people buy as they are , or rather can be, inexpensive.

    The neck will be , as said, about 1 1/2" wide and about 3/4" deep including the finger board. Personally I prefer the tenor and the baritone ukulele.

    A Soprano is actually the standard size, the second most common size is a concert.

    A uke neck is about 1 1/2 inches wide at the most on a soprano or concert.
