Bought a basic amp card from CBGitty, and used local parts to build this (my first) amp. It is only a 9 volt, 2 watt box, so it's not expected to have much volume - but - you can hardly hear it at all!
It basically just enhances the sound on my CB dulcimer and kalimba but I hooked it up to the guitar I'm building and you virtually can't hear any difference.
Is this "normal" for this kind of rig, meaning the Gitty 2.5W/9V amp card?
Is there something I can do to boost the sound in any way?
Oh, and go easy on the technical terms - I got into CBG for the simplicity of it all, I'm in no way a techie!
Thanx
George

Got it figgered out.
Took it apart and checked the likely components and - sho nuff - the speaker was bad.
Replaced that rascal and now it sounds like it should.
Thanks,
George

Here's the wiring, I'll have to post the schematic separately, it won't let me post 2 pics.

Check the wiring. There must be some issue. Also a close-up pic of the wiring would be nice to see.
A 2W amp would run you out of the room if you're not careful. Volume to Watts is not a direct relationship. Its more for how to drive the speakers (not really, but that's more or less).
