Some of my ukes have passive pickup systems. I am planning my bass uke build and have my eye on one of those cool bass bridges with the piezo pickup for each string. I'm thinking that if I got one of those Behringer EQ/Pre'amp pedals, I can have an active system for all my "passive" instruments. Am I being too optimistic? Just as soon not have to build an active system within each instrument if this way will work. Will save money and time in the long run. Yes? No? Am I off in left field?

That/s great looking, but I have my eye on the Behringer EQ700 for $23.99 on Amazon. thanks for the info though
Wondering now, that Behringer EQ pedal is not a pre-amp! Would it function as one? or....Maybe I should take my smallest cigar box, get an imported guitar eq/preamp for a guitar, mount plug inside, and....hmmmm, sounds pretty cool!

I've had it for at least fifteen years an it's been awesome.
But any of their ones would Polly be great

If you wanna make one you can get a typical 9v acoustic guitar preamp with eq panel etc on eBay for about $15..
Go to your electronics store (or prolly also eBay, I just haven't looked..) and get a DI box kit..
Put the two together and you gotta real capable little box that you can plug into a guitar amp or direct into a desk or recording rig.. I was saying small tin only so it'd be fully shielded, it could equally be in a cigar box if that's your thing
L R Baggs outboard footpedal - as in pre-amp/eq pedal?
