Hello all, new here. I see it's been over a year since the last post I see on the wall. Curious if the Sacramento cigar box workshop is still active. I just bought parts to build my first cbg.
Darn it, that’s the one day I work the afternoon!! Thanx for the invite, I’ll keep that in mind :)
BrianQ - We are having Zoom meetings every Sunday afternoon. This is something started up during the pandemic shutdown.
We exchange tips and updates on our current projects. Are you interested?
Wattup California!!! some serious cobwebs in here!!!
Let’s play some slide!!! :D
Hi all of you in the Sacramento Area Cigar Box Guitar Workshop.
We are scheduled to have our next meeting at Watermelon Music in Davis on Saturday May 25th at 1pm.
They have a separate performance area with a stage called "The Melon Ball" we can use. The address is 1970 Lake Blvd. #1 Davis Ca. 95616.
The parking is around the back, which is actually where the entrance is. The front of the store faces CircleK gas station. So, enter off of Lake Blvd. between CircleK and Watermelon Music.
Bring your Resonators from the last workshop and any other new Gits and lets start playing these things. Email with anything you want to include in the meeting.
I am practicing on my CB Mandolin with some good results.
Im new to this community. I love blues, 3 string cbg and was wondering if there are any groups or festivals that are located in So Cal?
thanks, it’s a pleasure to be here

The next meeting of the Sacramento Area CBG Workshop is Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 12 noon at Rich & Kathy's in Carmichael. We will have a potluck, so email me back with the number of people attending with you and we will setup what each person will being to the potluck to share and I will send you the address. Since the meeting is so close to Valentines Day, Kathy suggested that the theme of the meeting should be 'Play your heart out'. Rich will show us how he recorded the two songs he had on this years Christmas album, and any other show and tell that we have. Please contact me ASAP if you plan on attending the meeting.
