Here are some photos of where I am so far.  The neck has been cut and fine tuned.  I cut the pegbox with a mortise drill, and then chiseled it out so it was smoother.

The box will be glued and screwed closed, so I've glued in some screwing blocks along the sides.  There is also a bit of kerfing added along the sides so the glue will have more purchase.  In the photos, the kerfing for the back is not yet in place.
